Environment

Upstate New York is an environmental treasure. The following funds help keep it that way.  Below are five funds at the Community Foundation that support the Environment:

Olga Berg Memorial Fund
For environmental education in memory of a woman active in that cause.

Joseph E. Brown Environmental Education Fund
Established with an IRA distribution by a man dedicated to improving our community in many ways.

Environmental Endowment Fund
The Community Foundation and other donors created this fund in response to a challenge grant from the Great Lakes Environmental Collaborative. 

Walter A. and Shirley B. Fallon Fund
Established to support open space and land preservation in our area.

Nearby Nature Fund
To support local parks, urban greening, the awareness of nature as found in populated places, and environmental education for city children.
