Professional Development for Professional Advisors
Throughout the year, the Community Foundation offers professional development opportunities to help our colleagues stay abreast of current developments in philanthropic, charitable and financial planning. Recent seminars have included “Charitable Uses of Life Insurance,” “Charitable Lead Trusts,” “Wealth Transfer Strategies,” and “Estate Planning for Retirement Benefits,” In recent years, we have hosted noted speakers such as Natalie B. Choate, Esq and Stephan R. Leimberg, Esq.
We are pleased to offer Continuing Education Unit credits (“CEUs”) for many seminars in a variety of disciplines such as State of New York Insurance Department, New York State Continuing Legal Education (CLE), Pennsylvania CLE, Florida Bar CLE, New York State Board for Public Accountancy, Institute of Certified Bankers, Professional Achievement in Continuing Education (PACE), Investment Management Consultants Association, and Certified Financial Planner Board. As always, to be eligible for credits, participants must be registered for, and attend the entire seminar.
In addition to full seminars, we also host an annual Open House for Professional Advisors that includes a briefing on recent changes in legislation. Another professional development benefit is our e-newsletter sent to all Professional Advisors.
