The 21st Century Fund
Many donors proudly choose the Community Foundation to benefit specific organizations and causes. But the unforeseen challenges of tomorrow will also require flexible funds. Today, less than 17% of the Community Foundation’s annual grantmaking is available for application from the community. Even less is available to help the Foundation provide leadership in addressing changing needs.

The 21st Century Fund creates a permanent endowment that responds creatively to changing regional needs. Grants from the fund support the Community Foundation’s leadership initiatives, like those already making an impact on early childhood education, civic engagement, and the performing arts.

Join the Club for the Future! Donors of $2,100 or more, or individuals making a pledge of that amount or more (including pledges to be paid over several years), automatically become members of the 21st Century Club. Members are invited periodically to discuss the strategy and direction of our discretionary grantmaking.

Planned Gifts

Helping the Community

We are dependent on volunteers and friends. ... All contributions benefit the animals and their caretakers. We want to continue to offer the best of care.”
