Purpose of Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to a male and female student in the graduating class of the Marion School District planning to attend a school of higher learning specializing in business administration or finance.Application Period

Number and Size of Awards
One award of $10,000 each to both a male and a female student; paid as $2,500 per year for up to four consecutive years of undergraduate study. Award paid in the Fall and divided equally between the Fall and Spring semesters.
Allowed Use of Award
Awards may be used for tuition, fees, books, and other expenses associated with higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
For a male and a female student who:- Are outstanding students in the graduating class of the Marion Central School District;
- Have resided in the Marion Central School District for at least three years, including the year of graduation;
- Demonstrate financial need; and
- Are planning to attend a school of higher learning specializing in business administration or finance.
Application Process
The nomination process is coordinated by the Marion High School Counseling Office.Committee/Selection Process
The selection process is coordinated through the Marion High School Counseling Office, which reviews nominations, selects the male and female student with the highest number of nominations, and notifies the Community Foundation.Award Announcement and Payment
The Community Foundation emails a certificate to the high school for presentation to the recipient and emails an award notification with instructions for claiming the award to the recipient in the Spring. Payment is mailed to the school for the recipient’s account in one lump sum in the Fall and split between the Fall and Spring semesters once required documentation is received. To release the initial scholarship payment, upload the requested and required information including your class schedule and tuition bill verifying full-time enrollment in a college or university specializing in business administration or finance to the Community Foundation’s online Scholarship Portal between July 1 and August 15. To release subsequent scholarship payments, upload the requested and required information including your unofficial transcript, class schedule and tuition bill to verify continued full-time enrollment and good standing to the Community Foundation’s online Scholarship Portal between July 1 and August 15.
